The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) has once again, after some time, released its ranking of the most valuable players according to its calculations. Compared to Transfermarkt, CIES puts more weight on a player’s contract in its figures—so if someone’s deal expires this year or next, you should rather not expect them in the quiz, or you may find them very low down (just so you’re not surprised by 50th place with a price tag of “only” €83.8 million, held by a player whose contract runs until summer 2027).

The quiz features a full hundred players! After you start, you’ll see the estimated value and the club the player appeared for during the spring part of the season in the left column; any hint will show the initials.
